![]() The powerful Excel spreadsheet app lets you create, view, edit, and share your files with others quickly and easily. But if you work with spreadsheets only occasionally, you'd better turn your attention to one of the many free alternatives on Google Play. If you need to create or modify work-related spreadsheets on your Android tablet on a daily basis, this is probably the best app available for the job. Powerful, reliable, and intuitive, Microsoft Excel for Tablet has all the essential spreadsheet creation and editing options you need at the office. ![]() Weights over 200MB: This app requires around 227MB, plus at least 50MB more for user data. The limited cloud support translates into limited functionality for users with Google Drive or other non-supported storage options. ![]() Limited cloud support: Like other Microsoft Office apps for Android, this one works only with OneDrive, Dropbox, and SharePoint and does not support Google Drive, which for most Android users is the default cloud storage solution. Highly reliable: Because of its snappy performance (even when handling charts or long lists of data) and its impressive stability - it did not crash or slow down once during our tests - this app proves to be more robust and dependable than any of the free spreadsheet editors we've come across so far on Google Play. Great templates for a quick startup: After launching the app, you can choose to open any of a variety of good-quality, ready-made templates for lists, total expenses, tasks, assignment schedules, time sheets, and special calendars, all of which are easy to customize. We especially like the handy contextual menu, which appears as three little dots and can expand to show Cut, Copy, Paste, and other quick features, considerably speeding up the editing process. Sleek design and high usability: Microsoft Excel for Tablet catches your eye with its well-organized, polished interface, complete with compact toolbars containing essential features. Also, if your tablet has a screen size above 10.1 inches, you can't use any of the free features. There's a catch, though - to be able to use all of its features, you need an Office 365 account. ![]() Microsoft Excel for Tablet features all the PC app's indispensable spreadsheet creation and editing features in a neat interface. ![]()
